Course Summary

Ethena’s India Harassment Prevention course helps you comply with the country’s Sexual Harassment of Women at Workplace (Prevention, Prohibition and Redressal) Act, also known as the PoSH Act.

This course covers the most important provisions of PoSH, including what constitutes sexual harassment, how to report it, and the steps to take to address it. Learners will go beyond the letter of the law, learning how to foster a workplace dynamic free from harassment and discrimination.

Included Modules:

Why We Care

An intro to workplace harassment, the importance of creating a healthy work environment, and employee protections that apply within (and beyond) the workplace.

What Is Harassment

A training rich with learner questions to identify subtle (and overt) situations of harassment and discrimination in the workplace and recognize where they can overlap.

Recognising Harassment

Scenario-driven examples of what harassment can look like and the ways it can negatively affect individuals, teams, and companies.

Reporting Harassment and Preventing Retaliation

How a collective culture of reporting coupled with protections against retaliation leads to safer workplaces for everyone.

Off-The-Clock Harassment

Where harassment can happen outside of the workplace, how to recognize it, and why itโ€™s still important to report.

The PoSH Act of India

Covers India’s PoSH Act. The module focuses on key provisions under the PoSH Act, the Internal Complaints Committee and its responsibilities, and how to report sexual harassment.

Why is harassment prevention training important in India?

While there are currently no specific federal laws mandating harassment prevention training, the Sexual Harassment of Women at Workplace (Prevention, Prohibition and Redressal) Act, 2013, commonly referred to as the POSH Act, requires employers to provide a safe working environment free from sexual harassment and establish Internal Complaints Committees (ICCs) to address complaints. Additionally, many companies in India voluntarily implement harassment prevention training programs to educate employees on recognizing, preventing, and addressing harassment and discrimination in the workplace. These training initiatives typically cover legal provisions, reporting procedures, bystander intervention, and fostering a culture of respect and inclusivity.

I love the examples you provided. These happen in REAL LIFE!
